A lot of wisdom in these pages. And quite a few laughs too! I've had the privilege of working with Rita Davenport and I cannot say enough about her. She is a very genuine person and you will be blessed reading this book.
Rita is just such an amazing woman and has an incredible way of telling stories and putting things in prospective. Not only did I enjoy her book, but Ive also had the privilege to hear her speak. She is a true inspiration. This book will give you plenty of funny stories to smile about and a different way of looking at life in general.
While not necessarily earth shattering, Rita has a great way of expressing herself using humor to carry off weighty points. She has had a difficult and twisty-turny life that has directed her into her "soul purpose" (as evidenced by the ease of her success). Definitely an entertaining read with positive energy and some excellent points to take away.
Loved the beginning of the story. Could tell Rita Davenport is a fighter. She was successful in a lot of different areas. The last part of the story sort of drags on when it came to the forgiveness part. I don't know why it bothered me when she kept approaching the subject from every angle. Other than that, it was a good read and helpful.
Rita has a unique point of view, I laughed out loud at many of her stories. She also has good ideas of how to approach life problems. Am going to look for her other books, too.
Rita Davenport is hilarious! I got the chance to see her at our company convention last September in Dallas. I had never heard of her before, but once I heard her speak I knew I HAD to buy her book. This is a definite must read for anyone who is in Network Marketing or even if you are not. She has some really good advice about life and business - and it's funny!
Funny Side Up is an absolute delight to read. It not only chronicles Rita Davenport's amazing life, but the reader also understands the life experiences that shaped her into the extraordinary woman she is. A theme that runs through the book is one of compassion and being the best you can possibly be. She 'walks the talk' and along the way, impacts and changes so many lives. Her philosophies are ones which, should we choose to follow, makes us not only better human beings but better friends, leaders, husbands, wives or partners. As well as being very funny and a thoroughly enjoyable read, the book is a must for anyone who leads people, wants to improve themselves and wants a simple recipe as to how to make that happen.
